What kind of issues are we currently facing right now for AI to be able to come up with new ideas on its own or "functions" on its own without any input from humans?
Post Body

I know we just saw the popularity of Chat-gpt and the surge of companies trying to make their own "chat-gpt", but I feel they are just limited in that they require human prompt and pre-existing data being fed. They are just large language models.

I am just wondering what are the issues to create AI that can grow by itself or produce research in matter of seconds?

Is it the hardware not powerful enough for this kind of AI, or is it we just haven't come up with the code?
