Is it a good idea to open my fanatec CSR to try to fix the paddle shifter contact and belt?

Post Body
Like a year ago my fanatec CSR started to have a pretty annoying problem, the left paddle misses the shift like 30% of the time and sometimes it double shifts. Is it worth it trying to open it up and try to clean the contact or something or is it too risky?
Another problem I have is that if I jank it too hard the belt slides from the wheel and I need to recenter it, is there a way to fix this?
Is a very old wheel and I bought it used like 4 years ago so contacting fanatec is not really an option.
