NICREW LED strip on an open top tank?
Post Body

Hi! So I'm pretty new to the shrimp community, just set up my planted tank a week ago and starting to cycle it. I bought a NICREW ClassicLED Plus strip to replace the incandescent hood that came with my tank, but the glass lid I ordered won't come in for about a week. My tank also has a big airstone and a bubbly sponge filter.

I'm worried that the water droplets from the airstone and filter are gonna splash up on to the light and toast it. Does anybody have any experience with this? I know it won't be an issue once I have a lid but I want to start using the light now since it's better for my plants.

Thanks!
