I'm trying to save a site as a template but it is not allowing me to do so. The option for save site as a template does not show up in site settings.
Here are the things I've done:
SharePoint server publishing infrastructure is deactivated I've enabled custom scripts in the settings.
I have the SharePoint administrator role Confirmed I am site owner and have full control of the site.
Here is what's weird. The option to save site as template does not show up, however and I add "_layouts/15/savetmpl.aspx" to the end of the site I want to save as template. It'll take me to the setting that I can name the site and add a description, however when I click on save at the bottom, it takes me to an access denied page and asks if I want to ask for access.
Please help
