Service dogs and cold weather, is clothing acceptable?
Post Body

Hi! I’m taking my service dog with me on our first vacation together at Christmas time this year. He will have flown a couple times already by the time of this trip, so I’m not worried about that. However, I am worried about the weather.

We are traveling to Chicago, and other years I’ve gone during this time, it has been snowing. I personally was very cold. My service dog and I are from South Florida. He was trained in Texas. Neither of us have much experience at all in the cold. Would it be acceptable to put clothing on him when we are outdoors? He has a winter jacket, a hoodie style jacket, and a pair of pajamas that fit very well under his gear. He also wears boots, which I will bring with me for the salt on the roads.

He is a very short coated Labrador, i don’t know if that makes a difference.
