Thinking of creating a new workshop subreddit for original sci-fi writing and feedback. Would you join and contribute?
Post Body

After recent experience on Reddit's science fiction writing subreddits, I've noticed two things:

  • lack of participation, or
  • low-effort critiques and/or trolling ("low-effort" means short or careless responses to requests for feedback)

If you're a writer who is experimenting with an unusual style, or is a bit more advanced than those who need basic grammar correction, it's hard to find a decent place to chat on Reddit.

If you're a writer, would you join and participate in a new sci-fi writing/feedback subreddit? I'm not talking about fanfiction scribblers, people who don't write, or those need an kick in the arse to get started. This subreddit would/will be for those who are already writing and want feedback that's somewhat better than line-by-line grammar corrections.

We would operate on a "no leeching allowed" basis -- for every story you submit, you have to give feedback to someone else first.

So tell me what you think. If you want to join, you can leave your username in the comments or PM me; I'll be sure to tell you when the new subreddit is ready.
