I’ve been enjoying the show Check Please Bay Area on KQED.
Each week they invite 3 viewers on to recommend a Bay Area restaurant that the other 2 guests will visit and review. They film the visits so you get to see the atmosphere and the favored dishes.
Here’s a link to the full list of restaurants featured to date on CPBA in the show’s 17 year run. You can click on a restaurant and that’ll take you to the episode page where there is a link to the full length show on YouTube.
This is a fun resource when you feel like exploring but it’s also handy if you hear or read about a place and want to get a sense of it before making a trek for a meal.
