Sebaceous Adenitis

My boy Toshi got diagnosed with sebaceous adenitis. We noticed because hair around his snoot was thining out and hair around his ears started scabbing up and falling out. Wondering if anyone here has dealt with something similar? How did you treat it? Looking like it's gonna be a pill plus special shampoo weekly baths for the rest of his life. Very overwhelming but also relieved that what was causing his hair loss wasn't something fatal. The medication is atopica 100mg and the shampoo is biohex BTW.
