(This is my first time posting so please be nice if I missed something...and I searched and didn't find this topic before, so hopefully not a repost.)

Long time coaster enthusiast, been to a number of parks but came across a first today, June 20, 2021...

At California's Great America today, they had closed the line for Railblazer (at like 1:30 pm) and we're doing a "slow shutdown" for a "mandatory item retrieval". I've never heard of this before and was kind of annoying (I was planning on riding it through the single rider line, then leaving for the day), but it brought up so many questions...mostly what kind of item forces a mandatory item retrieval? The guy at the front was like "I can't tell you that." 🙂 Any Cedar Fair employees know and can enlighten me?

Thanks!
