Any suggestions for stops or small detours along this route?

Going on a road trip this summer with my family and I’m asking Reddit for some suggestion of sights to see / places to stop along the route. Could be state parks, roadside attractions, or food joints.

We’ll be starting in central Wisconsin, driving West to the Rapid City area and exploring there for a day or two, then driving South to Denver for a few days, and finally coming back to Wisconsin Eastbound on a different route.

Stops we are already considering include the following: Badlands N.P, Mt. Rushmore, Custer S.P, and Rocky Mtn N.P in Colorado.
