The way the mock drafts are looking it seems the tiers are breaking down into this:
Tier 1 (in no order): Chet Holmgren Jabari Smith Jr Paolo Banchero
Tier 2: Shaedon Sharpe Keegan Murray Jaden Ivey
Tier 3: Benedict Mathurin Jalen Duren Dyson Daniels AJ Griffin Jeremy Sochan Johnny Davis Etc
Basically the picks 7-13 could go any order because that's where consensus breaks. On the one hand it sucked to go #7 because you just "dropped" down a tier in talent. On the other hand, and this is the point of my post, you effectively have the first pick of that tier. I think both #4 and #7 are similar in that you get your choice of whoever you want in that tier. Dyson Daniels is starting to get top 5 buzz, Benedict Mathurin has some legit star potential. You aren't worried you will lose Mathurin in the first 6 draft picks, you will start to worry at #7. Another plus if one of the tier 2 guys falls #7 will get the first crack at it. The chance to draft Jaden Ivey at #7 could fetch a pretty good price.
TL:DR Don't trade Jeremy Grant for just #7 /s
