What to do with hole on top of tank cover
Post Body

Ok so bare with me here while I explain just what the f I’m asking. I have a tank I am in the process of setting up for my leapord gecko. I had my turtle in there and tried to set up an elevated basking area for him before I moved him to a new tank. It needed a ramp so I cut a square hole about 6 inches long on the tank cover for him ramp. Of course 2 days later I see bigger tanks half off at petco so I got one. Now I’m in the process of draining and cleaning the ither tank bc I figured I’d put my leapord gecko in it since it’s an upgrade from his old home. The tank is over a foot tall maybe more I’m eyeballing it rn but I don’t think there’s any chance he can crawl up to it and escape. I’m wondering if anyone has creative ideas of maybe a way I could use it to the lizards benefit I really don’t know what I could do maybe someone has a cdazy idea. I spent a while cutting it and ziptieing reptile carpet to the sides so it couldn’t harm my turtle back when I had him in there and I don’t want my time to be wasted.
