Should I bitthday gift him even though I broke up with him

I broke up with him during lockdown, I know I want to explore and would rather not get back together again, I'm happy being single & I'd prefer dating other people, permanently.
We were together for 2 years and he still wants us to be friends. I think I want to gift him as my way of leaving the relationship on a good note. Should I gift him for his birthday or should I keep my distance?
