To start I have a built a mine cart chest drop off and return. This goes from my mine shaft up to just below the surface. All materials, ores, blocks etc are deposited into an unsorted chest.

My next step is to completely sort the items going through that single chest into many other chests.

My hope was to get some insight (on whether it would be possible for starters) to take these sorted items (under the surface) and bring them up to all the way to different huts/houses. Similar to a village where it has different buildings for different jobs, I wanted to put wood, ores, cobble etc all in different buildings.

I was thinking the chests could be sorted them drop into an automatic drop off and return similar to the first one I’ve made.

It seems like if at all possible it would take a ton of space, sadly.
