Highest mileage with original transmission fluid what's your record?
Post Body

Toyota Camry Northeast City highway driving over 300,000 miles original transmission fluid. Same goes for a Ford van Acura Sadan Lexus ES and another Camry V6 all Northeast City highway driving. All cars are over 18 and 20 years old all have original transmission fluid and all shift okay.

I want to know what's the highest mileage any of you go with the original transmission fluid.?

Also why even change the transmission fluid? I keep hearing many people go 15 20 years plus very high miles with the original fluid. The odds are you might start to notice rust or other big issues before the transmission goes. I keep hearing stories people having issues after changing the transmission fluid No Matter What mileage you're always taking a slim chance plus the money you spent. There is a reason why many shops don't want to take on responsibility changingATF. I heard too many horror stories after changing atf fluid.

Now my Toyota with a 8-speed transmission my mechanic of 30 years says leave it alone my dealership doesn't want to do it and my manual book says to leave it alone.

I know new cars don't even have a dipstick and they are sealed and need to be operating at a certain temperature there is really more could go wrong why risk it? Plus all the money you spend every 60k miles or r by the time you hit 300 k if you even do just put that money to a new transmission fund. Changing your fluid doesn't necessarily extend your Transmissions life.

I know I'm going to get a lot of bad comments. Please do not tell me how to change it or to drain and fill instead of flush.

I just simply want to know what's the highest miles years you guys went without changing the fluid?

Also want to know why bother changing the fluid if me and my friends cars all over 300,000 MI original fluid. I've seen countless of cars 15 years and more with high super high miles original fluid. All the horror stories people's Transmissions going out after changing. Just sounds very risky.
