Why do battle rappers boast about their records on the app? I heard Kyd Slade bring up his 9-0 (I think) record on the app during his battle against Tay Roc. If I remember correctly, Eazy TBC has also mentioned his record on the app on his YouTube channel before.
If we recognize that battle rap is largely a subjective artform where people's opinions largely shape the way that events and individuals are remembered, why put any stock into a completely subjective voting system?
Besides, it's not like wins and losses really affect guys' next battles (unless you're Twork and you're on a bad streak of chokes). A guy with a name is gonna get booked regardless because he brings eyes and revenue, and the same thing applies if URL is trying to push a certain guy (think Lu Castro for example).
