Front End Noise….Help!

Post Body

Hi everyone, for background info, I have a 4x4 2019 1500 v6 with a 2in. leveling kit installed. Tire size 305/55R20. I bought the vehicle this way in 2021 with 25k miles, and have only recently started experiencing issues now that I’ve reached roughly 70k miles.

I have two issues, and I can’t seem to figure out what they are. The first issue is that when I hit small bumps in the road, I hear a popping noise from the front end. I don’t feel anything in the steering wheel when this happens, it’s completely audible, and everything feels normal when driving down the road under normal conditions. I’ve checked everywhere underneath, and really can’t find anything that has what I feel like would be too much play, so I’m kind of at a loss.

The second issue is a high pitch squeal when moving and the wheel is turned to the right and only right. It almost sounds like when your brakes are low and the indicator tab makes contact with the rotor if that helps. Initially, I thought this may be what it is, so I changed the brakes on Friday. The pads were worn, but had plenty of life in them. I went ahead and put the new pads and clips on, and as soon as I pulled out of the driveway, I heard it again. I’m again at a complete loss.

I’m not sure if either of these are connected or not. Obviously if they are then that’s definitely the ideal situation. But if they aren’t, then I guess I’m going to be spending more time under the truck than I had hoped. Any assistance is greatly appreciated as I’m about to go nuts trying to figure this out!
