Hey everyone!
Welcome to weekly update 153. This week we continue our coverage of Raiden dev teamโs progress towards the Bespin milestone and mainnet release of the Raiden light client.
Development progress
Developers are getting ready to introduce version 1.3 of the Raiden client which will be released under the codename Bespin. Looking at the GitHub issue and tracking their progress we can see that the only step left to be completed is a successful mainnet run of the scenario player tests. Additionally, the dev team plans to check a couple of corner cases in the Raiden protocol prior to making a release.
The light client team continued working on the documentation and the stability of the light client SDK and dApp. The positive news is that there are no new bugs discovered in the previous week. The product backlog shows only a few remaining unresolved tasks and the work has already been started on all of them.
Conclusion
This is all for this week. Both major development goals are very close to completion, and we are looking forward to seeing them on the mainnet. We noticed that there are a lot of new community members interested in Raiden and are looking for a telegram group. We invite everyone to join our biggest community on Telegram in the Raiden Network Community group. Furthermore, if you are interested in trying out the current version of the Raiden client yourself, the easiest way to get your node on the Ethereum testnet is via try.raiden tool.
Cheers!
