Hey everyone!
Welcome to Weekly Update 148. This week we will update you on the development team’s progress towards the end of year goals, let’s dive in!
Development progress
In the previous Weekly Update we identified two priorities the Raiden development team is aiming for before the end of the year for 2020. The Raiden client team is working on the Bespin release while the light client team would like to get closer to the first mainnet release.
Requirements needed for the release v1.3 (Bespin) are coming along nicely. Last week the development team resolved most of the preparation tasks for the release such as checking changelog for missing entries and testing database compatibility/upgradability. What brings some concern is the high number of scenario failures that could be explained by the matrix presence problems. Once the matrix presence problems are resolved then Bespin should be ready to see the light of day.
The light client team continued testing with the help of the scenario player and resolving known issues. During testing several more issues were discovered. We can expect that they will keep working in similar fashion until the end of the year.
Conclusion
That’s everything we have for you this week. The team is focusing on Bespin and keeping up with their end of year goals. If you have any questions about this update or the Raiden Network project in general then please leave a comment and we’ll get back to you the best we can.
Cheers!
