I don't understand it. Whenever I go out and get a nice bowl of pho bo and do the noodle slurp technique I always end up breathing in a bunch of broth and coughing my lungs out. However, with ramen, udon, even spaghetti, I don't have this problem. Is it a broth thinness/thickness thing, pho broth aerosolizing easier with the noodle-inhale? Is it a spice thing, adding too much chili and sriracha and the hot spice blasting off of the broth? Is it a noodle thing, rice noodles holding onto the broth less than other varities?
Let's explore the mysteries of noodle technique together. And/or flirt a bit.
I'm tall (6'3"), athletically built, and love to eat good food and drink good drink. Drop me a line!
