Going to let my dork flag fly for this one: at the very end of the month, there will be an IMAX theatrical screening of the final Evangelion movie and I’d love to go see it with a fellow fan. The series has held a special place in my heart since I was a teenager, and I’ve taken every opportunity to see it on the big screen - but never this big! And it’s always been my dream to have another nerd join me on one of those outings: Eva is such a deeply personal and idiosyncratic work of popular art, it’s so fun to discuss with others and see what their own experiences and beliefs bring to their lens.
About me: I’m a substitute teacher, tutor and writer from NJ. 6’1”, scruffy, and a big sleepy nerd. I live with a big black cat and a little black dog; I love watching movies (genre, arthouse and cult are all good!) and playing video games. I’m looking to get more into serious literature and philosophy, and I’m curious about art and music as well! If you’re an artist or academic or just passionate about similar topics, there’s a good chance we’ll get along!
Hope to hear from you!
