I am almost 1 week in to quitting again after a hard relapse. Trust me, I have no interest in “just having one” this time because I have been down that road. But I am very curious about what it does to your brain.
For example, say a person was in my situation; detoxing from nicotine for 7 days. Then on day 8, you decide to have one cigarette. Does it bring your brain and body back to the exact same state of addiction it had before you quit? Or is it more like having a piece of nicotine gum, where it just temporarily makes you feel better and then doesn’t have long-lasting effects?
Again, I’m not interested in just having one, so spare me the lecture. I am genuinely just curious if anyone knows how it affects your brain.
