Baclofen is effective at helping people quit phenibut. I have seen it with a close friend of mine. However, I have a question: can you get in trouble for possession of baclofen in the United States? What, exactly, is that status of baclofen in the United States? Can you get a possession or DUI because of baclofen in any state in the United State? Or is it completely safe to have in your vehicle?
According to the Wikipedia article on Baclofen:
"Baclofen was approved for medical use in the United States in 1977.[6] It is available as a generic medication.[7] In 2019, it was the 125th most commonly prescribed medication in the United States, with more than 5 million prescriptions.[9][10]"
Anyway, my understanding is that it is not a CDS but it can only be obtained by purchasing it online and having it shipped here from another country. My presupposition is that, if you got pulled over, and they searched your vehicle, and found baclofen inside their blister packs, inside their properly labeled box, you could not be charged with possesion of CDS or charged with a DUI so long as you pass the sobriety test.
I guess this is similar to having gabapentin without a script. What about prescription heart medication without a script that's not OTC?
(I'm not quite sure what happens if you can't pass a sobriety test but no alcohol or illegal drugs are found in your system but that's a different question for a different subreddit.)
