Hey guys! I've been messing around with fun builds, and I came up with a deck that I thought would do incredibly terribly, but instead performs really well. In fact, for the current build, I've gone 21/24 on the ladder. This deck is meant to be played in Expanded format- I'd love your suggestions to make this a more consistent build, but still highlight Torchic!

The main goal of the deck is to use of Torchic's Ancient Trait ability Barrage, which allows it to attack twice. Torchic has one useful move which allows it to hit 20 only on a heads coin flip. However, with 3 steam ups and a muscle band, this allows Torchic to hit a for a total of 130 on each hit, hitting for a total of 260 and thus one shotting anything in the game. Even better, it kills two consecutive mons with 130 HP or less. This is only for a single attached energy! I have also killed 2 Lurantis-GX for 4 prize cards in a single turn before as well- this chick is incredibly powerful.

However, the two problems this would face include the RNG nature of coin flips and the rapid energy discard. Thus, we have energy retrievals, super rod, Fisherman, and Starmie to recover our lost energy. We also have Victini, which allows us to redo any one of our tails flips, putting flips to our favor.

The prize trade is incredibly favorable, and the speed of this deck is awesome. If Torchics aren't coming out, we can even build Volcanion as a late game cleaner. Honestly, I know this isn't extremely competitive, but it is definitely something that is fun and in my opinion more consistent than the other explosive fire deck, Typhlosion.
