So I've been looking around the australian - Queensland market for the last 6 months trying to find a crappy-but-running Datsun 1200 so i can start draining my bank account with a project car. Just today I have found a Toyota TA22 Celica in pretty good condition which I believe would also be a good project.

My conflict resides in the fact I really want to build a Datto, but the TA22 looks like it could be a great project too.

What does reddit think I should do?

EDIT: The Datsun has been my go-to drool car for the last year, essentially it's the vehicle I WANT to build but it's hard to find around here.
