Hello r/Porto :)
I will be visiting the city in about 2 1/2 weeks and I was thinking of doing a pub crawl tour. The tour ends at 2:30am. Since I am traveling alone, I was wondering how safe it would be to walk back to my room that late at night? It would be a Wednesday night, so I don't know how busy the streets are that time of night. Do you folks have any suggestions? Anything would be appreciated. :)
Thank you for the info. I'm between Santo Ildefonso Church and Sao Lazaro. I have an AirBnb rental that I could still cancel without losing all of my money. The hosts seem nice though :-D I'll think about. It's really just that one night that I plan to be out late. I just don't want to get murdered but I feel like that is unlikely. If it's just drunk homeless people or potential pick pockets I'm not quite as worried about it. But I might consider the move. Thank you again for your help! I appreciate it. :)
Awesome. I won't be on the pub crawl until my second or third night, so I'll try to get a feel for the area before then. I'll keep the taxi idea in mind, or maybe just stay out til the sun comes up, we'll see :-D Thank you very much. This has all been very helpful
Just south of there around Rua Campinho and Praca Poveiros.
Well, shit... :-D Any other areas I should avoid? I've been trying to research on google but it's all pretty vague.
Thank you for responding :) That doesn't sound too bad then if a lot of people will still be out and about. I'm staying near the Jardim de Sao Lazaro. Is that an ok area?
