Hi humans!
Most posts in this subreddit are typically for people seeking new partners and playmates - this is a little different. I am currently looking to become friends with people who have been in this lifestyle for a while, who have successful relationships and who may from time to time have good advice.
I am fairly new to poly (2 years) and am starting to feel a need for more community. I stumbled into polyamory into a pretty natural way. I never planned to be here and finding this has been such a blessing for my heart. I have learned so much about myself, about love and autonomy. Like anyone living life next to other humans, things come up and it is always helpful to go to your friends for comfort and advice. In my particular situation all of the poly people that I know are connected to my partners. My girlfriends do their best but often times just don't understand. So here I am :)
I realize that I could have posted this in the main polyamory subreddit but I do find that to mostly be commiseration and I am looking for something that leans in the opposite direction. I want to hear about successful relationships and connections, figuring out family structures, solo-poly dating, couples privilege challenges and solutions that have helped you craft a beautiful and healthy dynamic for everyone. I also wanna know what books you're reading, games you're playing and what you think the most boring fact about you is.
I look forward to hearing from you!
