Has anyone had a partner go from keeping poly a secret, to not? Or maybe you did this?

I’m just not sure how long I can do this double-life, sneak-around thing.
I’m not sure I’m ready to not.
I don’t like dating someone in secret, dropping hand-holds when walking down certain blocks. I get it. But I’m not sure about it.
Edited to add: myself and my husband, my boyfriend and his wife - we all know, it’s all open and ethical - just not public. We are not at all publicly poly and I’m wondering if this can work long-term. It’s wearing on me.
