So I’m on fetlife and I come across a poly event that takes place in my city. I message the organizer letting her know I’m interested and would like to attend. I get approved and just need to RSVP.

So now I’m nervous to tell my bf because he doesn’t like people. He thinks everyone has bad intentions or only wants sex especially the poly community.

So I bring it up. Tell him how I found it, what it is, and where it will be. Its a vanilla event where it will be mostly socializing and eating and learning. But I would really like to go. I tell him in order to go you have to get vetted by the organizer by sending your vaccination, what you look like, and why you are interested in order to be approved to go because its at the organizer’s house.

He says alright I’ll do it. He makes a Fetlife account and messages the organizer. 😱😱😱😱😱. I never thought he would go to am event with me. I didn't think he would want to because he is monogamous.

I'm so nervous about him going because he is extremely jealous and he hovers and I don't want to feel like I'm being chaperoned. 🥺 but I'm happy he says he wants to learn more my going to this event.
