I couldn’t afford to buy a Switch for the past years, but I recently got some money and I’m thinking about buying a used one (some money, not a lot of money). I really want to play a Pokémon game, which is honestly my main reason for buying a Switch. I know that Scarlet/Violet is going to be released by November, so I don’t know if it’d be worth it to play Sword/Shield right now.

Is it alright for me to play Sword/Shield now? Or should I just wait and save my money ‘till Scarlet/Violet comes out?

My main factor is that I can purchase a copy of S/S now for cheap, while S/V will be a lot more expensive ‘cuz it’s a new game.
