Best battery life of 7, 8 generation?

Hi all, have owned OG pixel and 4a. Love both but they have both suffered from at around the 18 month mark their ability to hold a charge becomes awful.
So 2 questions: 1. Which of the current 7/8 phones (a series-pro) has the best battery life? 2. Which has the best long term battery life?
(Am otherwise leaning towards pixel 7 or 7a depending on which goes on sale first).
