Kasi di pa rin naman legally recognised ang same sex marriage dito, and my partner and I have been wanting to get married. I still believe in the concept of marriage - at least from a legal standpoint. We're looking forward to own a property together, start a family, and enjoy other rights and benefits that a married couple has.. Which sadly, I don't see happening if we stay here. Secondary na lang yung dreams ko din of walking down the aisle with him, and celebrating the occasion with our friends and family.
Plus, I am also a PLHIV. And pagdating sa healthcare for such individuals, medyo nahuhuli din ang Pilipinas. I mean, I appreciate that I don't have to pay for my meds and lab works kasi covered ng PhilHealth.. Pero in other countries I felt that they have it better - case in point, choices when it comes to medications (which is limited dito sa atin).
Because of this, parang nawawalan ako ng gana to actually make a large investment dito - like, buying a house. The only way out for now is if ma-petition ako ng sister ko na nasa US.. Pero matagal pa yun. Otherwise, kung swertehin, either my partner or I can snag a great job opportunity abroad. I've also been telling him na maybe we should start planning and saving up if we want to migrate ng sariling sikap lang.
Yun lang, I guess just wanted to let my thoughts out. Or maybe someone else has similar thoughts/situation.
