Hey queers! I’m a 28 gay cisman and I’ve been longing for some time now for social activities and spaces for queer people that go beyond parties and sex. I mean, yes relatively mas marami nang bathhouses, gay bars compared to before and the drag scene is flourishing. I’ve had my fun too in those spaces. But I feel like something’s still missing, as if katawan laging habol ng mga tao sa Maynila, especially men, instead of genuine connections. I’m not only referring to romantic connections pero even meaningful friendships. To be honest I’ve been finding it difficult to make friends especially for someone introverted like me whose just looking for friends in safe spaces.

Anybody else feeling the same way? Are there other activities I can explore so I can make connections with other queer folks and allies?

P.s. I’ve been to gay bars abroad and in some of them, I easily get to talk to other people. Siguro kasi foreigner ako lol. Here I feel weird, I guess kasi lagi nasa groups mga tao habang ako mag isa lang
