Finding dead wasps in my child's room constantly but there's no sign of a nest or survivors. Any advice?
Post Body

So I noticed this about 2 months ago but didn't think too much about it at the time. Now it's been going on for so long I'm concerned.

I live in a 40yo semi-detached house in central England and we've recently been finding dead wasps in my 2yo son's room during the day. We find 1-3 every single day. Now my son only sleeps in there once a week so it's not been a huge concern but we have 3 cats so I make sure I clear them out very often. The cats certainly aren't killing them because I'm finding them in places they can't reach and they're always 100% intact as well. I've checked the room from top to bottom and there's no nest or holes in the walls, the window is never open and the only way in is through the door that's open 24/7. They only ever appear in that room and nowhere else in the house. I've had my friend (an ex-apiarist) search the house and he said there's no signs of a nest anywhere in our house at all.

The only wasps we ever see are either dead or struggling as if they're about to die (e.g. flightless, moving slowly). We never see any flying anywhere. Has anyone got any thoughts on the matter at all? I'm worried because not only do I not know where they're coming from but also what's making them die. Thanks for reading.
