If somebody asked me what is one thing that made me a successful Personal Trainer; this be it.
Learning motivational interviewing always help me work with even the most difficult client to lead them to the right direction.
At the end of the day, client need to find the motivation themselves so they can be lead into the right direction.
The book is cheap on Amazon.

The turn rate of new PTs is staggeringly high, the industry is cut throat.
subcontractor roles, new PTs, rent based models and generally the big corp gyms not giving a fuck, it's an uphill battle.
I approach things differently, it's an ADHD thing - so, my question that I would personally ask myself is, why would I pick this new trainer over the other trainer who has a degree? If i wanted to talk to someone, I'd talk to my psychologist.
Then again, would my perspective be entirely different if I wasn't a qualified PT and a current Sports Science student? Who knows.
