Wells Fargo screwed me over and I don’t know where to go from here
Post Body

Hi. I’m a 21 year old college student. Long story short I had to get some crowns on my teeth. I paid $924 in October, then $924 in November. During the November transaction the dental office system glitches and they state they did not receive payment although the screen said approved. The money leaves me account. I call WF, the woman said the amount was approved and has in fact left my bank account. I go on about my day because I have the screenshot of the amount being “posted” and I figure they’ll receive the money later as they were having issues.

Months later the dental office is still sending me a bill of $924. I don’t want them to send it to claims or whatever so I file a claim with WF to figure out where the money went, as it NEVER came to my account or posted. WF workers are dumbasses and file the claim for October. They send me a $924 credit, and then they remove it from my account after realizing I authorized the $924 transaction for OCTOBER, when it should’ve been for the missing $924 in November.

I call again to correct the claim, they lie and say they’ll send it to executives yet of course nothing happens. Now they say they cannot file a claim for money that they do not see. Again, it never came back to my account. I grew up poor. I worked hard for that money, I would KNOW when $924 has left my account and hasn’t returned.

So now my account is in the negatives and I’m not sure what to do. I’ve already changed banks but I’m sure this will ruin my credit score. I’m not paying them that money unless it’s with a loan or something to cut all ties from WF completely. I’d rather owe money elsewhere. Any advice?

If this is the wrong sub just kindly let me know. thanks.
