Can I do a balance transfer to my husbands new card?

I have a bit of debt over 3 cards and the interest is starting to kill us. My husband offered to open a card in his name for 0% APR for 15 months as long as I pay it. We don’t have the same last name.
Will the credit card companies allow transferring from one name to another name? I will be transferring from 2 chase accounts and one AMEX to an AMEX.
EDIT: can you pay credit cards with credit cards?
