My daughter was born 2 months ago and some of her family members specifically gave her money for her birthday. I know they were meaning it's money for her ie clothes diapers etc. but we don't have a need to use it and I would rather invest it. Ideally in something that I can easily forget about and not have to do any sort of maintenance or big fees on.
It's only $300 so not a huge amount what would be a good investment for long term? I've had a CD in the past and was thinking of putting $100 there, $100 in crypto or something and $100 somewhere else. Would you recommend this or other investments? Should I put some of it in my Acorns account which is currently free since I'm a student?
