Otto Hutt Design-04 rollerball pen with Jetstream refill. What a beauty, my first expensive pen and a purchase I do not regret.

This pen supports standard euro rollerball refills. It came with a blue Otto Hutt refill which is stupid good. Wet and very smooth. I wanted to use the Jetstream refill though just because I’ve grown very fond of it and wanted to have an overkill ‘daily pen’.

As you can see from the images I’ve applied some padded tape - (these are actually ring adjustment spacers - Prasacco 152 Pcs Invisible Ring Sizer Adjuster Silicone EVA Ring Spacers Ring Guards for Man and Woman Loose Rings (1 Black, 1 Yellow, 1 Gray, 1 White, 4 Translucent) https://amzn.eu/d/gIOJncP - that I use for my wedding ring in the winter lol!)

The Jetstream refill fits but there is A) A lot of wobble and B) was just some millimetres short. So tape on the mid section of the refill provides some girth to stop the wobble and some layers at the top allows the refill to be extended. I also pierced a hole at the top to allow the air to push the ink down and out.

This pen will fit an EnerGel refill too for gel lovers. Just need to trim the refill down.

• Gorgeous sophisticated design (It was either this or the Lamy 2000 and this one just looked miles better to me)

Negatives:

• Posted this thing is like a magic wand 🪄
• Finger print and oily skin magnet 🧲
• Rolls around a lot on a flat surface since you can’t really write with this pen in posted form ✍️
• Entire cap isn’t sterling silver, just the segment upto the clip holding ring
• The cap picks up micro scratches fairly easily
