Races like this make me think about the value of honest communication between riders and the DS. At RvV, we saw Asgreen leave Alaphillipe because DQS knew before any of us that his legs were leaving, and it let him make the race-winning move. Today, an honest report from McNulty that he didn’t have it would’ve allowed Pog to make this front group and it’d be a totally different race. I know riders can’t always know when their legs are going to give, but you’d think he’d have known 50 kms in
