Need help picking a computer, would like your opinions!

Iām starting college soon and need a computer, and would like a laptop so I can travel with it and what not. I want to play Minecraft with some shaders and mods on it, so I just would like some opinions on good affordable options. Right now Iām stuck between Alienware or just playing minecraft with no mods on a Mac and saving up to build a PC. So basically are gaming laptops worth it or should I just hold out and get a pc?
