Hi, everyone. I lost by first pc to an ungrounded lightning strike about 6-7 years ago. I haven’t been in a position to replace it until recently. But things have improved a bit. And with the news of WoW Classic coming, I’m strongly considering making a purchase.
Its primary purpose will be WoW Classic. But I’d like to have some versatility and do some gaming outside if that — maybe the latest WoW expansion, civ vi, try out a few steam games. I have a roommate who can build a pc pretty efficiently, he says...and wouldn’t mind assisting if that’s the path I take.
I’m watching this week for how to best plan for my computer. There seem to be some pretty good pre-built options already. This, for instance, looks good. But it’s at the top of my price range. Ideally, I could get a little less expensive for my humble needs. I’ve checked a little on the individual costs of components and can’t seem to get quite as efficient as the pre built ones.
But, with the sales coming, things might change. Traditionally, will components go on meaningful sales? Will pre-builds also get markdowns? Where are the best deals to be found?
