Extending WiFi coverage using USB WiFi adapter?

Post Body

Hi PCMR, WiFi on my phone is really bad/barely working in my bedroom. In my bedroom I have a PC that's connected to router with LAN cable, router is on completely opposite side of the apartment. I've come up with the idea of using USB WiFi adapter such as TP LINK Archer T2U Nano to use it as a WiFi hotspot from my PC. I just need a bit better WiFi in my room so I can at least play YouTube and Netflix on my phone.

So I'm asking if my idea makes sense and should I do it?
