I’ll say at the top that I’ve only played P2 and about half of bachelor P1 so I’m sorry if I’m showing my ignorance with this theory. Also it’s not really a theory, as I don’t think it’s true to the Pathologic universe at all, it’s more like an idea for an alternate universe or a possible alternate way of interpreting characters.

I was just thinking about how it’s weird that Simon Kain was supposedly this really super old guy, when his brothers seem like pretty normal ages, especially Victor. Victor only seems, early 50s. So having a brother who is well over a hundred makes no sense.

I know the fact that things about the Kains don’t make sense is in their very nature. But still it’s weird...

It would make more sense to me if Simon was Georgiy’s father. And if Georgiy was Victor’s father. Along those lines, yes let’s stick with Maria being Victor and Nina’s daughter... but what if Khan was Maria’s son? (I’m not sure if it’s ever confirmed how old Maria is. I normally think of her as around 20, but for this theory she would need to be around 30.)

When I think of them like this, it makes more sense for the super old Simon Kain to be ~13 year old Casper Kain’s great-great grandfather rather than, his uncle. I’ll admit it almost makes too much sense, and maybe detracts from the family’s enigmatic charm. But it is interesting to think of the characters this way and how it would shape their relationships :)
