I work at law firm as paralegal for 1.8 years. for added information: I live somewhere in Asia. there is like one majority race at my law firm and Iām minority here. so basically I donāt want to feel that I left out because my race is different to them. but now thereās new employee, fresh graduate, also work as paralegal and have same race with the majority attorney here. every attorney here seems like always call out her name, asking her name and very nicely welcome to her. thatās totally different when first time I came here. I donāt want to feel jealous neither pity, because Iām the one in charge who has to teach her. I teach her like sheās my own sister. but Iām just kinda sad if the truth is Iām being discriminated. by this moment, I recall few moment back then. there are few attorney who really ābombastic side eyeā me first time Iām being here. what do you think? am I really being discriminated or this is just normal? I donāt want to feel this way. I just want to work professionally. what should I do next?
