So I've thought a lot about the line in Always "I'm the light blinking at the end of the road" and how it feels like the entire song Don't Let The Light Go Out is kind of an expansion of that idea, as it describes a simillar situation of a relationship on its last legs and invokes both the road concept with "who's gonna drive me home tonight" and of course the title referring to the light at the end of the road, not to mention the music video having him driving in a car. Idk if these songs were meant to be connected but I feel like even if it wasn't a conscious choice Brendon's subconcscious was drawing a connection.
