My wife and I are going to be in Washington DC for a week and I convinced her to make the the trip up to Camden Yards for an Os game one night. We're from the midwest so it'll be her first time going to an O's game and only my second in Baltimore. We're going with another couple (wife's sister and brother-in-law), but they're not into baseball so we're splitting up that night.
My question is would I be better off taking the train from DC to Baltimore for the game or driving there? Its a 7pm Thursday night game so I wasn't sure if the train would be a good option to get back to DC late at night, or if we should drive ourselves.
Also, any recommendations on things to do in the city before the game would be welcome as well as someplace to grab dinner before the game.
EDIT: Seems like most people suggest driving over taking the train. We'll make sure to leave early to miss rush hour and it sounds like there are several good restaurants in the area. Thanks for all the advice!
