Go train for out-of-province visitor?

Hello all. Not from Ontario, but I'll be visiting for a few days in about a week. Due to logistics, I'll be relying on public transit to get around while I'm there. Is there a week-pass that could be bought for the Go Train or other South Ontario public transit? Do they take cash for fares? How much is a typical ride on a Go-Train or public bus? I'll mostly be in the Kitchener-Waterloo area but will also need to use public transit to go to and back from Toronto once. I don't have a smartphone so any methods of payment or electronic passes that rely on those are not an option.
