Hello lovely fellow creators, I hope youâre all doing well. I wanted to share an experience since Iâve seen a couple related posts recently and hope it can help you.
I recently had a fan sub to me and within 2h they purchased quite a bit of PPV and requested a long custom which I was so happy about, despite being exhausting to make, totalling $500 worth of content. A few days later I saw that every penny appeared as âre versed by the customerâ in the charge back section, which made my heart sink. Weirdly, I saw that his account was still active so I emailed OF with screenshots of him requesting the content in the chat and commenting on what he enjoyed about it, giving feedback on the videos, and requesting me to say his name in the custom (clearly a legitimate request).
OF explained that it was not a charge back and that they were the ones who decided to reverse my earnings for âsuspicious activityâ, that nothing can be done to change their decision, and that they have the power to reverse earnings for this reason based on point 14.b.iii in the ToS. If the fan files a charge back, their account is automatically banned but if the earnings are re versed by OF, it stays active âin case the legal account holder is not related to unlawful activity, i.e. their account was hackedâ (lol sure). Support has refused to answer any of my questions or explain further and have just stopped replying to me now. Itâs extremely upsetting and I feel totally powerless.
When they refunded my earnings, they removed him as a subscriber and reverted all the PPV back to locked, so they can no longer access it (despite him already watching it), but the custom (which was not sent as locked PPV) was still available for him to enjoy for free in the chat. Iâve since blocked him so he wonât have access to the custom I worked so hard for anymore.
My point is that as awful as charge backs are, itâs not always the fanâs fault and it could actually be OF reversing the earnings (which is somehow even more sinister imo) and choosing to refund the fan, in order to âprotect fans and creators from unlawful activityâ, as they claim. But where is our protection as creators? How are we meant to know what they will subjectively deem âsuspiciousâ and therefore know not to engage in certain requests and avoid ending up working for free?
Of course OF would not answer this question when I asked so my guess is that we: - Wait (hours or days?) between big PPV requests - Be cautious with new fans who sub and immediately request lots of content - Always check if the fanâs account is still active post charge back and block them if it is
Would love to hear your thoughts or any similar experiences and hope this doesnât happen to any of you đ¤
In what world is logging into a paid porn site and charging your credit card considered suspicious activity⌠thatâs good business for OF and profits lost for them⌠never heard them doing this before. Almost sounds too suspicious and like an inside job tbh lol

Iâm really sorry this happened to you. From what Iâve read in advice groups is theirs like no protection for content creators for a lot of things. That really sucks
