I found this dress at a thrift shop for an absolute steal. It’s about a size too big and the bust is VERY generous so I will absolutely need alterations but I’m worried this dress is too…princessy? I don’t know. My husband is the brother of the groom. Husband and I have very eclectic/artistic fashion senses and he loves the dress too.
But I feel self conscious about my choice and need some other opinions. I do plan on pairing it with a dark red shawl or bolero jacket to make it a bit more autumnal and to take away from the Disney princess vibe.
The lining is light blue. The gauz is white with embroidered flowers and plants. The back (not pictured) is corset laced up and shows a bit of upper back.
What do you guys think?
Super cute dress but not for a wedding! It doesn't look quite white, but it will certainly photograph as such, even more so after the editing process. It's also very spring like, I'd say go for a jewel tone for autumn!
You should totally do a photoshoot with that once you get it altered though! Great find!
